Royal Oak Schools has successfully concluded a comprehensive Long Range Planning (LRP) process, culminating in the development of our new five-year Strategic Plan: Continuing Excellence. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive, diverse, safe, and student-centered environment, aligning with our mission to cultivate growth-minded students who are prepared to adapt in a dynamic world.
Collaborative Planning Process
Launched in October 2022, the LRP process engaged a diverse group of stakeholders, including staff, parents, students, and community members, through a series of committee meetings, surveys, and workshops. Key activities included:

Data-Driven Insights: Presentations on district demographics, enrollment projections, staffing trends, and financial overviews provided a solid foundation for informed decision-making.

Facilities and Safety Assessments: Evaluations of transportation systems, safety protocols, and infrastructure needs, including building maintenance and mechanical systems, were conducted to ensure a secure and efficient learning environment.

Curriculum and Instruction Focus: Discussions on curriculum development, DEI initiatives, International Baccalaureate programs, career and technical education, technology integration, and multi-tiered systems of support aimed to enhance student achievement and growth.

Community Engagement: Utilizing tools like Thought Exchange, we gathered input from over 600 participants, including staff and parents, to inform our planning with diverse perspectives.
