School meals will be free again this school year!
Thanks
to the Michigan School Meals Program, a state-funded program that allows all students to receive meals at
no cost for the 2026-2027 school year, one breakfast and one lunch will be free to all students.
Extra entrees, second meals and all ala carte items (milk, chips, water, cookies etc..)are not free and will be charged for and cannot be purchased if a student's food service account is negative.
Although students receive free breakfasts and lunches thanks to the Michigan School Meals program, families should complete the Education and Nutrition Benefits Form if their income falls within the ranges outlined by the Michigan Department of Education. Information provided through the Education and Nutrition Benefits Form helps schools receive funding for educational programs, student services, and other supports that benefit the entire school community. A school’s eligibility for federal child nutrition programs, such as the Summer Food Service Program and other program fee reductions, is based on this form.
