Lauren Jasinski is a certified secondary social studies teacher. She has worked at both the middle school and high school levels teaching U.S. Civics and World History. After ten years in the classroom, she looks forward to being able to help improve schools and serve the Royal Oak community in a different way as a board member.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Social Relations and Policy and her Masters degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University.
She is actively involved in the Royal Oak Area Democratic Club, the MEA's Protect Our Schools Action Team, and End Gun Violence MI. She is also currently a member of the Royal Oak Public Library Board.
Lauren has lived in Royal Oak since 2015.
